I love the Salvadorian breakfast plate here. Add a side of pupusas and it's food coma heaven! The phone rings off the hook here for takeout orders (note to self: don't sit by the phone counter next time, lol). Locals love it here and most of the restaurant patrons spoke Spanish (a good sign), so am sure the food is authentic. This place is a humble hole-in-the-wall with homemade tasting good quality food and the nicest owner. Parking is very tight in a lot shared with other businesses. I recommend street parking. Credit card and cash accepted.
I love living in a neighborhood where I can sit down and have pupusas for breakfast. They have great breakfast deals whether you want a Salvi breakfast for classic American. They also have the most delicious fresh squeezed OJ I've had in LA, period.
I've been ordering from here for several years now, and we are always very pleased. I typically always call in and place my order, it's usually ready within 20 mins. Their pupusas would be among one of the best. I typically get their revueltas, and chicken with cheese. Their sauce and cabbage are tasty as well. Definitely a must try if you're in the area.
The food is still great, and they have coffee now yay! The service was very good, they came multiple times to check if we needed anything and pour more coffee. The Salvadoran breakfast never fails. Large variety of pupusas. Small cozy restaurant. There's a small parking lot and street parking.
Came on a Monday right before lunch peak hours but also on 1/2 which was an observed holiday and we lucked out and got the last seats. Service was great. Everyone was very kind and fast but also felt at times it was hard to grab their attention. Food was delicious. Their hand made thick corn tortillas is a must try. Note, it's an extra $0.50 cents for four but it's worth it. 5/5 Caldo de Gallina (soup of chicken/hen) This dish was so so good I literally drank the entire soup and forgot about the rice and chicken because I wanted to finish the soup before it got too cold. Also, this dish is huge they brought out a big plate of chicken and rice and salad with tortilla and had to go back and grab a big bowl of soup. I substituted white rice with Mexican rice. 5/5 Camaron Ojo (garlic shrimp) My mom says she only comes here for this dish. Being pescatarian, she's very picky and claims that this is the best place to get shrimp in town. 4/5 Fajita Mixta (Mixed Fajita plate) My bf loves fajitas so this is usually his go to and was impressed with how much food they provide. He just wishes it was served in a sizzling plate like most other places so that it's still warm I'd definitely come back here again!
A close friend and I have been hunting to purchase a home for her. And this border of Eaglerock: A perfect melange of urban and rustic. Without the fire insurance debacle. Then our stomachs started growling and the nearest and dearest spot we came across whilst driving thru a mini canyon was the Eaglerock location. We are both vegetarians so it was a fun adventure. We were seated comfortably, after easily parking on the side of this restaurant location. The service was friendly, atmosphere friendly and working class. I like the vibe, not familiar and nice to get out of yr bubble of the world and explore. The food was simple and good and huge portions. I've eaten it for two meals, since I took half of my burrito to go!
